Summer is nearing and now that I have reached my first weight loss goal of 10 pounds since January, I am ready to keep digging in to lose more. Our entire house has been derailed with colds and illness for the last two weeks, making it hard to get a good workout in when all I do is cough! However, with a few small changes, I can make the most of any day.
Today I’m joining with Chobani Simply 100 Crunch’s project to help everyone stay healthy throughout the day. The Chobani Simply 100 Crunch is the first 100 calorie Greek yogurt with crunchy mix-ins. They are a great choice for curbing your sweet tooth without blowing your calorie count! Chobani Simply 100 “crunch” comes in 3 delicious flavors: Blueberry Cookie Crumble, Strawberry Chocolate Truffle and Mango Cone Crisp. Don’t they sound amazing? Chobani has put together this fantastic reference sheet of things you can do to burn 100 calories.
I spend a lot of time in the kitchen and was surprised to find that in just over 30 minutes of cooking, I could burn 100 calories. Now that the weather is getting warmer, you can bet I will be burning calories playing outside with the kids. They love playing in the playhouse as well as t-ball/baseball– and I like that they are staying active after being cooped up inside most of the winter.
It’s important for me to be a good example to my kids, so staying active doing chores or playing with them is huge for me. I want them to see me living an active lifestyle and fueling my body in the right ways.
What will you do to stay active on top of an already busy day?
