Ever since we moved to our new home (6 months ago, can you believe that?) we are never short on last minute gatherings or parties. With friends that live literally down the road and our families all close by, we love to entertain! The thing I don’t always love? The amount of time I spend in the kitchen. I feel like I miss so much of the gatherings we have because I am always behind the scenes. I love to cook, don’t get me wrong, but sometimes I just want to enjoy. However, now I can do both now that I have Tai Pei Egg Rolls and Spring Rolls that are ready to go, even when guests are unexpected! The best part? They taste just like authentic restaurant takeout– without all of the fuss and the work!
To go with them, I whipped up an Authentic Asian Dipping Sauce with ingredients I already had on hand. (Full recipe at bottom of this post!)
Pour the soy sauce into a bowl and add the other ingredients, stir to combine. Let sit covered in the fridge for at least 3o minutes. When your egg rolls and spring rolls are done, take the sauce out, stir again, the drizzle over the top. Also, serve on the side as a dipping sauce.
Yummy! These are the perfect addition to any dinner party or gathering!
Look for Tai Pei Egg Rolls and Spring Rolls in the freezer section of your local WalMart. They also come with their own sweet and sour sauce, and I loved using it in combination with my dipping sauce! With crunchy wrappers, fresh cut vegetables and hearty chicken (or pork or shrimp!) these are the perfect appetizer to have on hand for dinner parties, or just a gathering with friends. Even better is that you won’t be slaving away in the kitchen all night. You’ll thank me later, I promise!
