Brandon is hard to buy for, and he is notorious for buying something on his wish list right before a holiday. Christmas is usually the worst! We aren’t big gift givers for Mother’s Day or Father’s Day, but the kids and I still want to make sure that we tell him just how thankful we are for him. He does so much for us! The biggest of which is working hard so I have been able to stay home with the kids. It is a huge sacrifice, but for us is really important. Some days I take it for granted but I am ever so thankful I have had these last few years being with our kids. He’s passionate about his work, his zillions of ideas, and of course, the kids. He is such a great dad to Brayden and Kenley. As I am writing this I am having flashbacks to when we were in the hospital having the kids, and just the joy radiating from his face each time we welcomed a new baby nearly melts me, even still. He’s always encouraging them to play, not to be afraid of a little dirt, and lets them help him around the yard and in the shed. Watching him help Brayden with T-ball has been really fun, too! It’s something they have really bonded over.
One thing that was on his list for Father’s Day? New cologne. One thing I remember about Brandon when we first started dating nearly 14 years ago was that he wore Nautica jeans. When I saw this Nautica Life cologne set at Macy’s, I knew this would be the perfect gift for Father’s Day. I have always loved Nautica cologne, and since Brandon has been out for awhile, I can’t wait to give this to him! This Nautica Life gift set (a $128 value, priced at $65) includes:
- 3.4 oz Eau de Toilette
- 2.5 oz Aftershave Balm
- 2.5 oz Shower Gel
- 1 oz Eau de Toilette
Nautica Life reflects the traditional side of the Nautica Brand, and is a romantic blend of freshness and woodsy aromatic scents. Trust me when I tell you this smells incredible! The Nautica Man is an everyday hero, someone to look up to, and is a man of action. Anyone that knows Brandon knows that he falls directly into this category. We are so, so thankful for his presence in our life, and we can’t wait to celebrate Father’s Day with him!
Since Father’s Day is THIS Sunday, I whipped up this little card that you can print out and give to the Dad in your life. Bonus points if your kiddos can write on it, too!
How do you celebrate the Father’s in your life? Any special traditions?
