Another week of summer gone, another week closer to school starting for Brayden. *sigh* He will go EVERY morning this year, so obviously our summer ways will have to end soon. I’m guessing that rolling out of bed at 8am for school at 8:15 won’t work too well.
Brayden turned FIVE yesterday. A whole hand! I can’t believe it. We spent the day swimming at my sister’s, picking sweet corn, and being at the airport to celebrate. That’s the life of a busy season baby, I suppose! The big party is this weekend, and he can’t wait! He is hoping for some Planes Fire & Rescue toys, since he loved the movie! I am hoping he gets clothes and grocery store gift cards because I can NOT keep up with this rate of growth and change of appetite!
This girl. Looks SO much older with a ponytail and will forever ask Aunt Jamie to print her pictures to color. She’s been talking nonstop lately, is doing awesome in her big girl bed in her room, and refusing to be potty trained. Can’t win them all, I suppose. Honestly, she is just hilarious and I am soaking her up these days.
My eating was not great this week, nor were my workouts, and I gained 2 pounds back. Ack. Just more motivation, I suppose! I was reallllly hoping for another 10 pound loss by mid-September, so now I am fired up again, ready to hit it hard! I am SO self conscious of my arms, so I have been doing a lot of planks, tricep dips, push ups, etc. My plank hold time is laughable, but I had to start somewhere. I am still loving Shakeology but haven’t kept up with the PiYo like I wanted. It’s a hard thing for me to choose to work out because I hate it so much. It’s never been a priority. Old habits die hard, right? So I am hoping for progress by next week.
I am loving being part of this GreatClips and AdoptaClassroom.org campaign! Teachers are an integral part of our community, and together we can help them get what they need for their classrooms and our kids.
My brother started crop dusting this season, after buying this airplane in pieces and rebuilding it. I captured this image of him spraying literally out my back door. I actually have several really, really good ones of him, but this one is by far my favorite. You can see the concrete in front of the shed and the kids toys– and it’s just incredible to have this kind of a view! Kris is so driven, talented, and I am beyond proud of him. A family legacy created by my dad and his love for flying is being carried on- and boy, is it fun to watch!
