Besides getting the house deep cleaned for the holidays, my other favorite part of holiday prep includes all of the scents of the season. There is so much nostalgia in the smells of the season. I can still smell my grandparents house when they lived in New Mexico. There was always something yummy in the oven (lasagna or chocolate cake!) and it was so inviting and homey. That is what I want to recreate in my own home for the holidays.
In our breezeway room, I have this metallic, skinny Christmas tree that I fell in love with. It is the perfect size for this room and probably my favorite of all three of our trees. It’s home is next to the fireplace, making this room cozy and warm.
This is the first room that people see when they come into our home, and I want it to be festive. A cute tree, eventually a banner over the fireplace, and Frasier Fir candles on the tables combine for a visible Christmas cheer from the moment you walk in our door.
Somewhat hidden near the Christmas tree on the mantle is this gorgeous reed diffuser. Obviously my tree is fake, but it doesn’t have to smell fake! Now the entire room smells like a Christmas tree and I absolutely love it.
Next up for a little spruce of decor is the kitchen. Thymes has an incredible Frasier Fir scented all purpose cleaner and dishwashing soap, so your Christmas spirit can be with you everywhere! These items in particular would make a great gift for someone you know that is hosting a holiday gathering, or even just someone that is hard to buy for. They come packaged so beautifully!
Thymes wants to spread some holiday cheer to my readers, so with the code TRADITION5 you can get a free Thymes sample set with any purchase of $25 or more. This would be great for deciding what fragrances to give as gifts! You can smell them all and decide how to make someone else’s home full of Christmas cheer.
