I have had sensitive teeth for as long as I can remember. Having braces for over 4 years somewhat escalated the sensitivity pain, mostly because I hated having things tightened and adjusted. I have never been able to bite into a popsicle and my husband constantly makes fun of the way I eat ice cream: by tipping the spoon upside down in my mouth so the ice cream never touches my front teeth.
Enter: Colgate Sensitive Toothbrush and Sensitivity pen.
I start my day with a hot cup of coffee, either with almond milk and stevia, or a sugar free, fat free creamer. Even with making healthier choices, I can’t go without my cup of coffee!
After that, I usually make a shake. I rotate through three:
Chocolate Shakeology with light vanilla almond milk
Peanut butter + banana + almond milk + ice
Fairlife chocolate milk + peanut butter + banana + ice
That’s quite a temperature change, and it’s hard for my teeth to make that transition.
After my coffee and shake, you will see me drinking ice water all day. My daily goal is a gallon! (My new favorite thing to add is Grapefruit essential oil— yum!)
To help my teeth adjust to all the temperature change, and so that I can enjoy my favorite beverages, I use the Colgate Sensitive toothbrush and Sensitivity pen. First, brush your teeth with the ultra-soft toothbrush. Then, remove the cap from the pen and massage the gel onto your teeth for a minute. Targeted, on-the-spot sensitivity relief within the brushing routine is provided by breakthrough Pro-Argin™ technology, and with continued use, sensitivity is targeted 24/7. You can simply brush, apply, and go!
When you are done with the pen, it slides into the end of the toothbrush for safe keeping until the next time you brush your teeth.
After using the Colgate Sensitivity Pen for three days, I have noticed a significant difference in my sensitivity pain. My teeth don’t hurt nearly like they used to when I enjoy cold beverages or an ice cream treat with my kids! I found this at Kroger– and I am glad I did! Now, I think it’s time for another cup of coffee…
How do you handle tooth pain, especially with summer right around the corner?
